Dejah’s hometown is Waterbury where she was educated in the Waterbury Public Schools attending Tinker Elementary school in historic Town Plot. As a student at WAMS, she fully engaged and embraced all the opportunities in the arts that were offered minutes away from downtown Waterbury Green. Her post secondary studies led her to leave the state but she swiftly returned back home upon graduation to give back to the city that raised her. Which led her to RACCE where she gives time and effort to causes like educational injustices, lack of availability and funding of after school programs.
